  Are you ever going to complete this? The date on this is 2/16/2005. I just bought PC Hardware Buyer's Guide and came here for to tune in and find out, but after almost two years it's not done. Whassup? ;-)

  No, alas, and our apologies.
  
  There was some miscommunication. When we talked about this originally, we thought O'Reilly was going to buy a piece-of-junk commercial system for us to dissect, but O'Reilly thought *we* were going to buy a piece-of-junk commercial system to dissect. Later, it became clear that neither one of us wanted to waste the money to buy a piece-of-junk commercial system just to dissect.
  
  But we'll be happy to dissect any piece-of-junk commercial system if someone else wants to buy it for us...
