Want to work at Microsoft? Joe Morel has been working there now for six months as a Program Manager and he has some terrific tips on things he wish he had known before he started working there. Specifically, he describes some ways to hit the ground running and achieve success more quickly and easily. In particular, tips to "speak up" and "get thick skin" are good indicators of the healthy give-and-take dialectic that makes the company a great place to work if you're a bright young programmer. Unfortunately I don't eat candy so I'm probably not a good candidate for working there...lolMitch Tulloch is the author of Windows 2000 Administration in a Nutshell, Windows Server 2003 in a Nutshell, and Windows Server Hacks.
